We believe that Dharma is the deepest expression of sustainability.
Our objectives are to (i) advance the education of the public, and (ii) promote research for the public benefit, in any subject considered useful for society, but with a particular emphasis on the contribution of ancient Hindu thought/culture to modern society, with the aim of increasing collective knowledge and understanding of these subjects, through funding organisations and individuals to discuss, conduct research and publish the useful results.
A team of investment professionals manage our portfolio. Their aim is to maximise returns over the long term to ensure that EcF continues to have sustainable income to invest in ideas.
Our investment portfolio is a resource that makes our charitable work possible, rather than a way in which we seek to achieve our mission.
We must be confident that companies and funds we invest in take their environmental, social and governance responsibilities seriously before investing with them.
Our grant funding is exclusive with a criteria that applicants must meet before funding is considered.
Projects that seek funding must demonstrate their core educational objective and how their efforts will lead to outcomes.
Successful projects will need to demonstrate that they address the multiple dimensions of sustainability with practical application.
